I’ve had a sudden burst of creative energy.
You’ll see my new mandalas with a starry galaxy theme. It’s fun and I’m enjoying the process. Feels like there is a message within each mandala. Will be nice to discover what that is. Enjoy the images below and I’ll post them in the Mandala Gallery with descriptions soon. Feel free to leave a comment below.

Since the March 11th earthquakes and other events here in Japan, the creative muse has not been with me. Even though I wanted to, I just couldn’t express any artwork. I observed the world, felt deep emotions and then went internal to process things for a while. It was better just to be silent.
The Earth has been shaking almost daily and it’s easy to feel that life is shifting under our feet. I remember feeling a bit helpless which is probably normal after disaster strikes. My dream has been to love people through art and inspiration. But recently I started to question whether my art would make a difference in this changing world. Because the problems seemed like mountains too high to climb.
While watching the images of disaster in Japan, one thing that deeply touched me, were the lost dreams. So many people’s lives were washed away. And it made me more determined to keep my own vision and hopes alive and growing. Their stories reminded me to cherish the opportunities I still have. Now it almost feels like living my dreams successfully will have an impact on all the lost souls who can no longer live theirs. And one dream accomplished is a triumph for all.

Life is becoming more settled here in Japan. My heart feels lighter and creativity is flowing through me again. There is a sense of momentum towards sharing my art with the world. I believe the images and inspiration I share do have an amazing effect. So I will continue to create art from my heart to yours.
- This art image is “Create the world” the first mandala I made after the quakes.

I’ve recently fallen in love with mandalas! They are an awesome new creative discovery for me. It’s like I am having a shift in my art and mandalas are the best ways to express the new energies. My pastel painting are very detailed and larger sized so they take some time to produce. But the mandalas are pretty zippy in comparison. I can create one in a few hours or if I take my time, a day or two. It’s also very peaceful and almost like play. Playing with colored pencils. That’s what I use to draw them on black paper.
Currently, I have three that are on the verge of being completed. I’ll scan them in and post them on this site soon. I just started a new mandala based on a new spark of inspiration yesterday. I’m loving it and can’t wait to see it fully formed.
Try this: Create mandala art for yourself. If you haven’t tried creating mandalas give it a shot. Start by drawing a circle and fill it with your imagination. Use colored pencils, crayons, pen and ink or whatever you like. Put on some music or sit in a peaceful place and draw. If you don’t want to draw for yourself. Find mandala templates online and print them out. You can color them like a coloring book. Great chance to let your inner child play with some crayons!
So look for the new updates to the Mandala Gallery soon.

It was my dream to swim with dolphins in the wild. Several years ago, I traveled to Bimini island in the Caribbean to do just that. It’s a place famous for its ties to the Atlantis legend and the Bimini Road (square underwater stones suspected to be remnants of Atlantis)
It was an amazing journey to see and swim with wild spotted dolphins. The water was clear and blue with white sand. I never thought I could take such a trip but I’m glad that I took a risk and made it happen. It was the first time I had ever been so far out in the ocean that I couldn’t see land. And I had never snorkeled before or been seasick. So I got to experience a lot of new things!
We ate gourmet vegetarian meals, danced, and had profound experiences. I had so many vivid dreams during that time. And some visions and sensations I can’t explain. There is something special about that area of the ocean. That’s for sure.
I wish I could journey to that place now. The beach and ocean are some of my favorite places. I love clear blue waters and have a connection to dolphins. They come to me in my artwork a lot. The dolphins near Bimini are wild spotted dolphin. With black and white spots. To me it looks like maps of stars and galaxies on their skin.
The trip was arranged by WildQuest and we arrived by sea plane to spend about a week snorkeling, swimming and meditating. Amazing!
Maybe one day I will go back again.
WildQuest is respectful of the dolphins and nature. They have wonderful journeys that will bring you into the world of dolphins and mysteries.

Being creative is almost like drowning in a sea of ideas! Sometimes goals and dreams seem too big or too complicated to accomplish it all.
What do you choose?
How? When? Why? Where?
It’s easy to let doubts or procrastination delay the attaining of what we want. Those delays are a necessary part of things. There is a flow and a timing to the way things happen. There are people and opportunities to connect with when the timing is right. Otherwise things become frustrating and difficult, because we are trying to force things to happen in the way we want them to.
It’s great when things flow easily and when goals are accomplish successfully. It’s awesome! Then comes the next idea and the next… So there is always a desire to create and live more. Always a spark of creative inspiration ready to be expressed.
My personal goals include teaching, writing books, art videos, world-wide art licensing campaigns, exhibitions, a visionary art empire… That along with many goals for a joyful life. I’m happy that I’ve accomplished what I have and that there are more dreams to come.
Be Grateful! It’s amazing that we have the freedom and chance to choose so many things. And the creative force is so abundant in sharing its inspirations. We just have to go with the flow and enjoy the journey to the fullest.

I’m standing on a cliff looking out into the sky. There is mist all around me and I can’t see the ground. I can’t even see three steps ahead of me. But I know it’s a cliff I’m standing on. It will take a leap of some kind. A leap of the mind, the spirit, or something…
The unknown!
There is a protective mechanism in the brain that tries to keep me safe at all times. It works well but over reacts sometimes. Perceiving danger when there is only an unknown step ahead. The step may take me to joy or a crashing fall.
You already have it!
In the movie, The Wizard of OZ, they’re on a journey searching for things they think they don’t have. But in the end they realize the gifts they needed were already inside them. So in my vision, I stand on the cliff concerned but believing that I also have everything I need. Other wise, life would not have brought me to this cliff…this opportunity for a leap of faith.
Guidance!
I can feel something calling me forward out into the mist of the unknown. It feels sweet, encouraging, promising. Like what I have been wanting and manifesting is already there. So I listen and step forward into the unknown.
My most favorite quote, by Martha Graham, keeps me going and inspires me to share my art and message even in times of doubt. As artists it’s normal to have doubts, blocks, and fears that get in our way. But it is important that we continue to share our vision and express what comes through us. In this world we are the ones who imagine and see. So what we create helps deliver those visions and messages.
May our creations serve to uplift each other and be a positive force in the world.
This is my favorite quote:
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.” -Martha Graham
When I was a kid I wanted to be an artist. Or a scientist or astronaut. But I found my passion in creating art!

Nicole age 7
My dad was a painter, but never realized his dreams of being a professional artist or going to college. But I got to experience that dream. Now I have degrees in Commercial art and Advertising, and another in Graphic Design and Illustration.
My first real job was in a busy advertising agency. Lot’s of computer work and deadlines! Then I was a graphic designer at the Dallas Zoo and Aquarium. We created signs for the animals, designed displays, and maps. Once, I even got to make casts of a chimpanzee’s hands. The molds were used to make bronze sculptures for the visually impaired. Seeing the animals was a cool part of working at the zoo.
Then in 1998, my life changed! My art changed. My inspirations changed. I quit my job at the zoo and began creating art from the soul. There are several events that caused this including a series of visions and a presence like an angel coming to me.
As I started creating visionary art, I had to retrain myself in some ways. In art college they taught me techniques of drawing and painting. Those skills were wonderful. But I was not taught how to create from my soul. How to put energy of joy, light, and peace into the artwork. Or how to inspire people by capturing images of the spiritual worlds. Those are skills that I learned on my own.
I continue to create art to help people feel happy and connected. To remind us all that love and beauty are all around us.
